St Germans Priory is a local and national treasure with something to offer everyone. The Priory remains at the heart of this vibrant village community and is still the local parish church.  Under the stewardship of the St Germans Priory Trust, it is increasingly now also used for a variety of cultural, musical and community events.

The Piggery at Hole is located at Hole Farm, an ancient Cornish Farmstead dating back to around 1200. The original barn dates back to 1750 and was converted in the 1950’s to a
state-of-the-art Piggery. It was converted again in 2020 to provide a comfortable, modern space, with excellent acoustics and light, to support performing arts in rehearsal, development
and performance.

The space includes a Steinway parlour grand piano, a bathroom and mini kitchen.
The Piggery at Hole accommodates up to 50 audience members, and a second barn is used as a bar/tearoom for all concerts. To date, the Piggery has hosted a number of folk artists and
bands, including Suthering, Harbottle & Jonas, Ciderhouse Rebellion, Richard Trethewey, Reg Meuross, and Our Atlantic Roots.

Each year we also host classical music afternoons with The Liskeard Chamber Players and Chapel Street Ensemble from Penzance. The venue is small, intimate and very popular
with local music lovers.

Jopes Music aims to improve access to professional standard classical music across Cornwall, with a particular focus on SE Cornwall, and to provide concert opportunities for professional musicians in Cornwall and West Devon. Jopes Orchestra has begun to offer concerts in South East Cornwall and has a growing audience. The Jopes Ensemble offers a number of “Baroque Music by Candlelight” concerts, these have proved extremely popular with South East Cornwall audiences and will continue into 2025.
